Members of the hip-hop community are still continuing their protests over police violence in their urban communities. On Saturday (Dec. 27), rappers Game and Tyga appeared at the Millions March in Los Angeles. The dynamic duo, along with DJ Mustard, was among the thousands of people who marched through the streets of Fairfax and Miracle Mile districts.
According to HipHopDX, the march shut down traffic with throngs of people holding up signs with symbolic drawings of fists and one that read, “I Am A Man! #blacklivesmatter.”
The L.A. version of the Millions March follows behind New York’s Millions March earlier this month. Hip-hop legends Russell Simmons and Nas were among the 30,000 people who marched through the streets of NYC. Indie rappers Immortal Technique, Torae (of the Barrel Brothers) and others were at the New York rally.
