It looks likes Nelly is the latest rapper to get into the reality TV business. The St. Louis native is bringing his own show called ‘Nellyville’ to BET in November.
In the 15-second trailer (see above), the ‘Country Grammar’ rhymer is shirtless and is awakened by his alarm clock. As he gets out of bed he gives the camera a steely glare.
Unlike VH1′s hugely popular ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ franchise, Nelly’s show is more about him and his daily life as a father, businessman and rapper.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, the show “will focus on the rapper navigating his hip-hop career, fashion businessman/co-owner of the NBA’s Charlotte Bobcats and father to his biological children and his late sister’s children, all while balancing a relationship with [Shantel Jackson], Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s ex-girlfriend.”
Nelly’s ‘Nellyville’ will premiere on Nov. 25 at 10:30PM ET and will run for eight one-hour episodes.
