With the road to ‘Cadillactica’ in full effect, Big K.R.I.T drops another smooth banger with ‘Soul Food’ featuring legendary producer Raphael Saadiq.
K.R.I.T. follows up the Rico Love-assisted official first single ‘Pay Attention’ and the vibrant ‘Cadillactica’ with a soulful Saadiq-produced nostalgic track. The rapper takes it back to the sticks of Mississippi with his beloved grandmother.
“Grandma’s hands used to usher Sunday mornings / Now before Sunday school, I hustle and I’m on it / I can’t slow down, nah, a dollar and a dream / In this life you live, you’re either the dealer or the fiend,” Krizzle rhymes on the first verse.
The song is as smooth as a Cadillac cruise down Interstate 55 and gets even more mellow with Saadiq’s serenade on the chorus.
‘Cadillactica’ drops on Nov. 11.
