If you ever got caught in a rainstorm wearing your best kicks, you know that it sucks — big time. Converse has come up with a solution for sneakerheads to wear their shoes in the rain and still look fashionable. The rubberized Chuck Taylor All-Star collection is the perfect footwear for those rainy days.
The entire sneaker is made out of water-resistant rubber — same material they use in raincoats — with a soft fleece lining, gusseted tongue and brass eyelets.
If you don’t think they can stand the rain, guess again. The good folks at Complex tested them out at a rainy Made in America festival over Labor Day weekend and walked away with feet that were still dry at the end of the day.
The monochromatic shoes come in six colors: yellow, black, olive, purple, white and red. They’re also available in unisex adult and kids sizes so men, women and children can rock these versatile kicks.
The Fall 2014 Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Rubber collection will hit retailers and converse.com on Sept. 15 for $65 for adults and $45 for kids.
