Kanye West is a busy man this year. In addition to marrying Kim Kardashian this summer and touring the world, the Chicago native will release the follow-up album to ‘Yeezus.’
The rapper has postponed a tour in Australia to focus on the recording process. Roc Nation announced the news of the delayed performance trek, but for good reason. “Due to unexpected timing requirements to finish his highly-anticipated new studio album, scheduled for a 2014 release, Kanye West regretfully announces the postponement of his upcoming tour dates in Australia,” read the statement.
The Yeezus Tour will now begin Sept. 5 — the initial start date was May 2 in Australia. Fans shouldn’t worry about the canceled performances. All tickets purchased for the original tour dates will be honored at the rescheduled shows.
The G.O.O.D. Music leader’s forthcoming sixth album will likely feature collaborations with his ‘Watch the Throne’ partner Jay Z and G.O.O.D. Music members like Big Sean and John Legend.
When he released ‘Yeezus’ in 2013, the effort sat on many year-end lists as a critically-acclaimed album. Songs like ‘Blood on the Leaves,’ ‘New Slaves’ and ‘Bound 2′ attributed to the success of the LP.
