Nick Cannon and former NFL players Charles Woodson, Warren Moon and Jarvis Green were scammed out of thousands of dollars from a man who falsely affiliated himself with the NBA.
According to Vibe, the entertainer gave $15,000 to 45-year old George French Jones to invest in the the Atlanta Hawks. The money never reached the team, along with the alleged $25,000 from Green and $50,000 from Woodson for other teams.
The LA Superior Court along with FBI plan to charge Jones with fraud, grand theft and identity theft.
Jones was arrested last month and due back in court March 12.
