Aaron McGruder Not Involved In The Boondocks' Final Season

With excitement growing for The Boondocks' fourth season, fans were thrown for a curve ball when it was announced Saturday (March 22) that creator Aaron McGruder will not be involved in the show's final season.

According to ZapIt, Sony Pictures Television press release blames the separation on McGruder's "conflicting schedule." The release reads,"was produced without the involvement of Aaron McGruder, when a mutually agreeable production schedule could not be determined."

McGruder has yet to comment on the matter, but he is creating a new show for Adult Swim titled, Black Jesus.

The Boondocks' upcoming season will air on April 21 on Adult Swim.
