Wiz Khalifa Reveals 'Blacc Hollywood' Album Cover, Release Date

Wiz Khalifa is preparing for a big summer. Amid his Rolling Papers entrepreneurial venture and Under the Influence of Music tour, the rapper will release his new album, ‘Blacc Hollywood,’ on Aug. 19.

In addition to the release date, Wiz also reveals the cover of the project, which features the rapper shirtless and doing what he loves best: smoking weed. “Another classic album art.

This summer should be fun,” Wiz tweeted today, along with a photo of the album cover.

Led by the single ‘We Dem Boyz,’ the album also includes ‘KK’ featuring Project Pat and Juicy J. There is also an expected collaboration with fellow smoke aficionado Miley Cyrus.

After staging a surprising R&B trifecta with Trey Songz and Chris Brown at the 2014 BET Awards, August Alsina delivers a visual for his new song called ‘Benediction’ featuring Rick Ross.

The New Orleans native tapped Payne Lindsey to direct the clip, which is set in an empty cathedral. In the video, Alsina and Rozay give thanks to the Almighty for making it out of the mean streets of NOLA and and Dade County, respectively.

We also see Alsina enjoying the fruits of his hard work as he puffs on a cigar by the pool while a gorgeous bikini-clad hottie pours him a glass of champagne. Ah, the good life!

Plus, DJ Khaled makes a cameo appearance doing what he does best — nodding his head.

Alsina is planning to bless fans with the Testimony tour this summer. The trek kicks off Aug. 14 in Seattle and wraps up in Kansas City, Mo., on Sept. 21.

Chris Brown Sells Los Angeles 'Graffiti' Mansion for $1.69 Million

Chris Brown is chucking the deuces to his Los Angeles mansion. Breezy just sold his Hollywood Hills home for a cool $1.69 million.

The LA Times reports that the swanky pad, which made headlines last year for a mural decorating one of its outside walls, includes an art studio, a loft, three bedrooms and 3,000 square feet of living space. Outdoors, the home boasts a saltwater pool and spa with colored LED lights along with stone waterfalls and fire pits. There’s also no shortage of romance in the house, since a red stand-alone tub and a glass shower can be viewed from the bedroom.

The house gained controversy when neighbors complained about Brown painting graffiti all over it, including several art pieces on walls inside the home. The singer fought back, citing protection for his art under the First Amendment. “The murals are a reflection of [my] aesthetic taste and a reflection of free speech and expression protected by the First Amendment to the United States Constitution,” he said at the time.

Although the house has been repainted, the LA Times cites that the new owners can enjoy the ‘New Flames’ singer’s artwork on several interior walls since they still remain.

Yasiin Bey isn’t banned from the U.S., after all. The rapper performed alongside Talib Kweli at Radio City Music Hall in New York City for Dave Chappelle’s comedy show on Friday night (June 27). The comedian played 10 dates at the famed New York City venue.

The beloved group known as Black Star — they’re way overdue for a second album — performed classic cuts like ‘Definition’ and ‘Respiration.’ They also went into their solo material, as Kweli did ‘The Blast’ and Yasiin sang ‘Umi Says.’ Even Hi Tek showed up to complete the full on Black Star reunion.

During the show, Talib took a little time to poke fun at those who believed his rhyming partner couldn’t get into the U.S. “Yasiin Bey aka Mos Def live on stage right now at Radio City #chappelleshow #blackstar. Don’t get banned,” he wrote on Twitter.

No word yet if the Brooklyn, N.Y., duo will perform more dates while Yasiin is in town.

Nicki Minaj Throws Shade at Iggy Azalea During 2014 BET Awards Acceptance Speech [VIDEO]

Nicki Minaj raised a lot of eyebrows with her acceptance speech at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 29).

While accepting her award for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist for the fifth consecutive time, the Young Money empress took a swipe at one of her fellow nominees in the same category, namely Iggy Azalea — even though she didn’t call out the ‘Fancy’ rhymer directly.

During her diatribe, Minaj talked about a myriad of topics and she shamed rappers who used ghostwriters to pen their rhymes.

“My point is, what I want the world to know about Nicki Minaj… is when you hear Nicki Minaj spit, Nicki Minaj wrote it,” she said. “No shade,” she added multiple times, but it was clearly obvious who she was talking about.

It’s been widely rumored that Azalea uses ghostwriters, including her mentor T.I., to write her rhymes. Plus, with Forbes magazine’s click-bait article hyping the Aussie rapper as “Running Hip-Hop,” we can see why the ‘Pills N Potion’ rapper felt some type of way.

“This is so big, at one time black people were getting black out on the TV, now they own their own network,” Minaj continued.

For the record, BET is not solely black-owned, Viacom runs the network. We’re just saying. No shade.

Minaj continue to throw Azalea under the bus near the end of the speech, stating, “I don’t care what anybody gotta say, I’ma do me, I’ma do me. And I hope and pray that BET continues to honor authenticity. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.”

Say My Name: Bow Wow Explains Changing Name to Shad Moss (@smoss)

Bow Wow has been catching a lot of flack lately for changing his moniker from Bow Wow to his government name, Shad Moss. While it is unlikely most will begin addressing him as such, in a brief interview with Rap-Up.com, Moss says he doesn't see what the big deal is and that it's more of a business move than anything else, as he has many ventures in the works and that a name like "Bow Wow" won't fly.

"It's a name that they've heard my whole career...to me it really wasn't that big of a deal. I was kind of laughing at the reaction, everybody was just making it like some of the biggest news in the world, but to me it was just hilarious because I was just like, sh*t I'm just using my normal name."

When asked if changing his moniker was something he'd been thinking about for a while, Moss says yes, and that he's been easing his fans into it for a while now.

"I've always thrown hints about it, through my music. Like I said for all my fans that have grown with me they know the name...I'm embarking on so many different things now, television, clothing, you name it everything, so it's kind of hard for me to just be Bow Wow."

A Tipsy Chris Brown Is Helped Out of the Club After BET Awards (@chrisbrown, @karrueche)

Chris Brown is enjoying his newfound freedom to the fullest. After having a star-studded welcome home party, plenty of good lovin' from girlfriend Karrueche, dropping his new single "New Flame" and making a comeback with his performance of his smash single "Loyal" at last night's BET Awards, Breezy is certainly riding high.

With plenty to celebrate, Brown downed a couple drinks throughout last night's festivities, but according to TMZ, the Virginia native may have knocked back one too many, as he had to be carried out of the afterparty by his friends to his car, where Karreuche waited for the singer in the driver's seat.

While Brown wasn't sloppy drunk, he was clearly off balance and required some assistance out of the club and into his orange Lambo.

Zendaya Coleman Backs Out of Aaliyah Biopic, Production on Hold

Just weeks after announcing her involvement in the forthcoming Aaliyah biopic, actress Zendaya Coleman will no longer play the ‘More Than a Woman’ singer.

E! News reports that a rep for Zendaya informed the entertainment network that “Zendaya is no longer involved in the project.”

Lifetime, the network producing the biopic, confirmed the information yesterday afternoon (June 29) and even announced that this puts a delay on the film altogether.

This isn’t the first obstacle the TV network has experienced. Aaliyah’s family has already threatened to block the rights to using any of the late singer’s songs in the film, titled ‘Aaliyah: Princess of R&B.’ Her family claims that a made-for-TV movie is too small for the chart-topping singer — they want her story shown on the silver screen in theaters.

With the project on hold for now, it looks like we’ll have to wait even longer to see who will play the late songstress.

Trey Songz Performs 'Na Na' at 2014 BET Awards [VIDEO]

While it looks like the beef between August Alsina and Trey Songz has been squashed as the two joined forces on the stage at the 2014 BET Awards on Sunday night (June 29), the Virginia native had something else to celebrate — the upcoming release of his LP, ‘Trigga.’

Dressed in all black, Trey took center stage surrounded by fog. A massive metal structure is covered with women, who perform synchronized acrobatics as the singer belts out the lyrics to ‘Na Na.’ Known for his sex appeal, the singer and his dance troupe of women layer it on thick with back-bending moves and lots of body rolling. And clearly the crowd eats it all up including actress Gabrielle Union, who can be seen grooving and singing along.

Right before he can finish his song, Trey makes sure to plug his album one last time and closes the performance in the same cross-like pose he has on the ‘Trigga’ album cover.

‘Trigga’ arrives July 1.

Fight Breaks Out, Man Stabbed at Meek Mill's BET Awards Party (@meekmill)

Last night, Meek Mill held his BET Awards pre-party at Club Lure in Los Angeles where stars like Game, Lil Boosie, Kyla Pratt, Mase and more were in attendance. While the celebs trickled out of the party and into the awards show unharmed, the same can't be said for one particular partygoer who found himself in a scuffle and eventually stabbed.

Police say a man in his 20s was stabbed in the nightclub right on the dance floor soon after a fight broke out. According to TMZ, the man was rushed to Cedars-Sinai with two stab wounds to the stomach and is currently in stable condition.

Jay Z and Beyonce Perform 'Partition' at 2014 BET Awards [VIDEO]

Why not have musical royalty close out the 2014 BET Awards? Jay Z and Beyonce weren’t at the Los Angeles awards ceremony physically but they offered a previously taped performance of ‘Partition’ from their On the Run Tour, which kicked off in Miami last week.

The couple performed a new version of the track, complete with an opening verse from Hov. Dressed in a black T-shirt and black pants, the Roc-A-Fella rapper sat down for his short verse, and pretty much let Queen B get all of the shine while she showed off her seductive moves.

Bey didn’t hold back on the sexiness during the performance, as she clung to a stripper pole. Sporting a gold sequin leotard and sexy wild hair, she was in full-on Sasha Fierce mode. The songstress also did many of the same dances featured in the ‘Partition’ video.

Towards the end of the song, a silhouette of her frame appeared. The former Destiny’s Child frontwoman crawled and slithered all over a chair, easily raising the temperature to steamy heights.

In about five minutes time, Mr. and Mrs. Carter reminded viewers why they’re so adored, and why the On the Run tour is a must-see.

Big Boi Calls Journalist a B**** at BET Concert Over a Tweet (@BigBoi)

Huff Post Live's, Marc Lamont Hill got more than he bargained for when he attended the BET Experience festival to check out one of his favorite groups, Outkast.

According to the IJReview, the journalist live tweeted his experience at the show. While Hill was enjoying the group's set, he made a joke when it was time for Big Boi's solo set.

"So Big Boi is doing his solo set now. This is where the homie @bomani_jones turns up... and I check my email." he tweeted.

The tweet was brought to the rapper's attention and shortly after Big Boi called him a b**** on stage for his actions.

Hill went on to clear up his comment assuring everyone that it was a joke.

There weren’t any huge red carpet mishaps or fake Rolex malfunctions at the 2014 BET Awards Sunday night (June 29), so the focus was more on how the celebrities showed out during the occasion. The best dressed stood out based on creativity and class.

Whether they were grown vets or newcomers, the most stylish came from multiple corners of the fashion world. John Legend’s casual, all-black look was just as credible as August Alsina’s classier blue tux style. Even risky moves like Zendaya Coleman’s b-boy look and Keke Palmer’s futuristic outfit worked well here.
