Pharrell Williams, Jay Z and Beyonce Nab 2014 Webby Awards Nominations

Chart-topping superstars Pharrell Williams, Jay Z and Beyonce are among the nominees for the 2014 Webby Awards, which celebrates Internet achievement and innovation.


Skateboard P grabbed a nod for Best Use of Interactive Video for ’24 Hours of Happy,’ his 24-hour online viral music videos.


Jay Z is nominated in the Social: Experimental & Innovation category for his ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ App, which deliver 1 million digital copies of his celebrated album exclusively to Samsung smartphone users.


Hov’s wife, Beyonce, received a nod for Web: Celebrity/Fan website for her official page, which has become the interactive destination for all-things Queen Bey.


The International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences will chose the winners along with the public who will cast their votes for their favorite at the Webby People’s Voice Awards.


All winners will be announced on April 29.


This year’s awards received more than 12,000 entries from over 60 countries. Of these, 8 percent were selected as nominees.
