Teen Wrestlers Under Fire For Posing In Lyching Photo

A New Jersey wrestling team has been the target of controversy after eight of it's players posed with a black wrestling dummy and simulated a lynching.

According to the Huffington Post, Phillipsburg High School officials removed the teens from an upcoming meet after the photo surfaced online. The photo was taken at the school, with some of the teenagers wearing pointed hoodies.

The teen's attorney spoke for them in a conference over the weekend and called the act 'a joke' against their rival team. He also noted that the joke wasn't racist and their 'poses were not premeditated.'

The teens were also given a three day suspension.

Do you think it was done purposely?
