Ludacris claims he’s hard up for money and can’t pay thousands of dollars in child support.
The Atlanta rhymer was in court Wednesday (Feb. 19) battling his baby mama, Tamika Fuller, who is demanding $15,000 a month in child support. The couple have a 2-month-old baby daughter, Cai.
However, Luda claims he can only pay $1,800 a month in support because his total income for 2013 was about $55,000. And since his next movie project, ‘Fast and Furious 7,’ is delayed due to Paul Walker’s untimely death, he’s strapped for cash.
The judge ordered the rapper-actor to pay $7,000 a month for now until he reviews all of the financial documents.
A cursory glance at Forbes’ 2012 Hip-Hop Cash Kings list shows that Ludacris’ net worth is around $12 million. Nevertheless, a judge is not going to make his decision based on a magazine’s unsubstantiated accounting.
In addition to baby Cai, the ‘Southern Hospitality’ rapper has a 15-year-old daughter named Karma.
Ludacris’ attorney had no comment on the matter.
