Ty Dolla $ign and YG Accused of Attacking Fan in Australia
Rappers Ty Dolla $ign and YG could be in major legal trouble following their recent trip to Australia. An Aussie fan is accusing the rap duo of attacking him in a nightclub over a VIP section.
According to TMZ, Ty and YG performed at Eve nightclub in Melbourne, and following their set, they wanted to relax in the VIP section. The alleged victim claims that he was already chilling in the area when the rappers and their cronies ordered everybody out. When the victim refused to leave, he was pummeled by a slew of people and chased out of the club.
The police were called but no arrests were made. Authorities are still investigating the incident.
An insider who was at the club told TMZ that Ty and YG never touched the individual and claims that the club’s security guards were the ones who beat up the victim.
There’s no word if the victim is going to pursue legal action. But it appears that Ty and YG had a great time in Aussie Land.

Nike Air Foamposite One 'Tianjin'
The Year of the Goat is upon us and Nike is out to celebrate the way they do best: with a sneaker release. The Nike Air Foamposite One gets a very visual representation of the Chinese New Year thanks to this vivid Tianjin colorway.
The foamy upper on this pair features a floral theme that focuses on the lotus flower. In case the printed images didn’t clue you in, the flower is embroidered on the heel and tongue as well. Where a pink outsole would usually stand out in the mix, this time it blends in seamlessly due to the all-encompassing theme of the shoe.
These are set to hit retailers in China on Feb. 7. Unfortunately, we aren’t sure when they’ll land in the states. Hopefully, Nike won’t leave us high and dry when it comes to these.
Jay Z to Acquire Music Streaming Company Aspiro for $56 Million
Jay Z is getting involved in the music streaming business. According to the Financial Times, the rap mogul is buying Swedish music streaming company Aspiro for $56 million.
The tech company currently runs two subscription streaming services, WiMP and TIDAL, which are available only in Sweden, Denmark, Poland, Germany and Norway. So far, it has 500,000-plus subscribers.
Project Panther Bidco, a subsidiary of S. Carter Enterprises, has secured the acquisition and is waiting for shareholder approval. A rep for the company said buying Aspiro was a move to help expand their portfolio in the technology business.
“Panther believes that the recent developments in the entertainment industry, with the migration to music and media streaming, offers great potential for increased entertainment consumption and an opportunity for artists to further promote their music,” read a statement.
Clearly, this deal will put Jay Z in competition with two of the biggest streaming services in the U.S.: Spotify and Dr. Dre’s Beats Music. So Jay will no doubt use his star power (and his Rolodex of celebrity and rap friends) to entice new followers and pull some customers away from the other streaming services.
The only downside is that no popular streaming company has yet to turn a profit. So it will be interesting to see how Hov will make money off his new acquisition.
We wish Jay Z the best of luck in his new venture.
