TLC's Kickstarter Campaign Receives $5,000 Boost From Katy Perry

TLC’s Kickstarter campaign to fund their final album is off to a great start. Pop siren Katy Perry has donated a sizable amount of money to their project.

According to TMZ, Perry contributed $5,000 to their campaign. T-Boz and Chilli are seeking $150,000 to help cover the production and promotional costs for their last album. They’ll also need money to pay for the studio musicians who will perform on the project.

So far, the duo raised over $162,000 and have 28 days left in their campaign. At this point, the TLC album is fully funded and they’ll have a few coins left over to further expand their musical venture.

Now what will Perry get for her $5,000 donation? A slumber party with T-Boz and Chilli. Plus, the vinyl and digital copy of their final album, a scrapbook and a Kickstarter remix of a song. Not bad at all.
