Pitbull Sued for $3 Million for Copyright Infringement (@pitbull)

Pitbull's Billboard chart-topper "Timber" featuring Ke$ha may be getting him in a bit of trouble.

The creators of the 1978 song "San Francisco Bay" Lee Oskar, Keri Oskar and Greg Errico, are taking the Miami rapper to court to the tune of $3 million for borrowing the song's harmonica vibe for the hit song.

According to the NY Daily News, The suit states that "'Timber's' harmonica player Paul Harrington was instructed to emulate Oskar's performance on "San Francisco Bay" and the infringing record makes "copious use" of the original melody and harmonica riff."

Bow Wow Is Changing His Name

From Lil Bow Wow to Bow Wow and next, Shad Moss. The rapper and ’106 & Park’ host is officially changing his name to his government moniker after the 2014 BET Awards.

Bow took to Instagram to explain the reason behind the change. The entertainer is making a career evolution. “No more Bow Wow after June 29, man. Shad Moss is what it is. New era, new money. Let’s go,” he says in the 15-second video.

“ANNOUNCEMENT: After BET awards i will no longer go by Bow Wow! Im going by my real name “Shad Moss” we made alot of history as bow wow. Now its time for the next chapter and challenge. Bow wow does not fit who i am today. Ima father, business man, TV host, Actor, and rapper! Time for MR Moss to take over!” the rhymer wrote as the caption to the accompanying visual.

Back in 2002, the multi-hyphenate dropped “Lil’” from his stage name. He told MTV then, “I changed my name because I’m getting older now and it’s too many Lil’s. All these Lil’ rappers, I’m just kind of getting real irritated by it. I said, ‘You know what? Drop the Lil’. Forget it. I’m Bow Wow.’ Besides, I’m growing up, I’m not little anymore. [I just decided] two weeks ago. I really got irritable. It’s all these Lil’ cats, forget it. I’m Bow Wow now. Everything is just ‘Bow Wow,’ no ‘Lil’ Bow Wow.’”

In the coming days, he’ll be releasing a new song, ‘Right Now’ featuring K Camp.

Air Jordan 3 Retro 'Sport Blue'

Sneaker4Life

You just can’t beat a new Air Jordan 3 colorway, even if it is “black and blue.” Corny pun aside we are on the heels of the ‘Sport Blue’ colorway of the silhouette and it looks to be just what the doctor ordered if you are an Air Jordan 3 enthusiast.

A black leather upper sets the tone for this dead serious release that goes for a different take on the “True Blue” theme but uses similar colorblocking. Overall sport blue looks great against the dark upper and really pops against the elephant print accents.

The Air Jordan 3 “Sport Blue” will hit shelves on Aug. 16 and is priced at $170 a pop. Do you think this will be one of those much talked about, highly anticipated releases? We sure do.

The new freestyle, over Drake’s ’0 to 100′ beat, has Soulja Boy price-checking all of his expensive things. “I rock Louis V. s—, I don’t rock Hilfiger,” he raps. “Hop up out the cut I’m gettin’ deals n—- / Six million on that once, one on my wrist / Ridin’ through the hood, Ace of Spades, bottle of the Cris.”

The track is from the rapper-producer’s upcoming ‘King Soulja 3′ mixtape. “I did this one for y’all,” he tweeted along with a link to the track.

The release of Soulja Boy’s ’0 to 100′ freestyle is just one of the many that have debuted since Drake released the original song earlier this month. Chris Brown, Meek Mill and G-Unit are just of the artists who have spit over the beat.

Zendaya Addresses Being "Too Light-Skinned" to Portray Aaliyah (@zendaya)

While several Aaliyah fans have been especially critical of the hiring of Disney star Zendaya to play Aaliyah in the upcoming Lifetime movie biopic, with some saying she's simply too light to play the singer, she's determined to prove that it isn't about her skin color as much as portraying the late entertainer to the best of her ability.

"For those who don't know, Angela Bassett & Tina Turner, they look nothing alike, but she was that character," said Zendaya at LAX, while introducing us to her African-American father, saying "half black is just enough." Her father of course agreed, and said that they'll be shooting in the summertime, so Zendaya will be even more tanned to match Aaliyah's skin tone.
