Jason Derulo and Florida Georgia Line Join Forces to Open CMT Music Awards [VIDEO]

There was a clashing of two worlds right at the opening of the CMT Awards, where Jason Derulo temporarily turned the ceremony into a turn up fest.

After stars ZZ Top performed ‘La Grange,’ Florida Georgia Line took over to perform ‘This Is How We Roll’ to much applause. Derulo caused the most excitement when he jumped from the stage to perform his signature hit, ‘Talk Dirty,’ sans 2 Chainz. Florida Georgia Line even danced along to a routine when the song’s instrumental hook dropped.

Of course, this isn’t Derulo’s first foray into country. He was featured with country star Luke Bryan on the remix of ‘This Is How We Roll.’

Derulo also tweeted his thanks after the performance.

John Legend Teams Up With Jennifer Nettles and Hunter Hayes for 'All of Me' at CMT Awards [VIDEO]

John Legend‘s ‘All of Me’ got off to a slow start when it was released as a single in Aug. 2013. It slowly became one of Legend’s biggest successes, landing him his first No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. That’s more than enough to land him some recognition outside of his genre.

Legend got just that at the CMT Awards. The singer teamed up with country stars Jennifer Nettles and Hunter Hayes for an acoustic rendition of ‘All of Me.’ The crowd started cheering as soon as Legend sang the opening lines.

Nettles joined in to transform the performance into a duet as Hayes did the guitar work.

Keyshia Cole's Family Exposes More Issues on "Family Therapy" (@IamNeffeteria)

Keyshia Cole's mother and several siblings are giving reality TV another go with one more show featuring their often complicated family dynamic. "Family Therapy" will feature mom Frankie, sister Neffe and six other siblings the public haven't yet met through their other shows.

Things will get pretty intense, as they discuss heavy topics such as Frankie's past as a prostitute, one of Cole's siblings being born with cocaine in their system, and all of the kids' various issues with their fathers.

Keyshia herself will have nothing to do with the show, as she recently expressed to Power 105's The Breakfast Club that she doesn't let their "chaos" affect her or her son anymore.

"I have to protect him from that type of chaos. I haven't even spoke to my mom, Frankie, in a minute. They don't have my number. It's just a respect thing for one. Last time I had my mom around I sent her through rehab and I tried to help her and I spent a lot of money...and she just took it way too far, yelling in my house. Luckily my child was asleep. After that I was like, 'Naw.' You gotta make an adult decision to move that out..."

Aubrey O'Day Calls Out D. Woods at Danity Kane Concert (@AubreyODay, @yaGirlDWoods)

Danity Kane originally consisted of 5 members: Aubrey O'Day, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, Aundrea Fimbres, and Wanita "D. Woods" Woodgette. Today, only Aubrey, Dawn and Shannon are still repping DK, and while on their "No Filter" tour stop in NYC, O'Day had a few things to say about one of their former members.

When Aubrey asked the crowd who DK's biggest haters were, one fan screamed "D. Woods!" which O'Day repeated to the crowd. She followed up with this comment:

"I wanted to give a shout out to all our haters standing at the side of the club everytime we walk in looking all good. You got your screen name on MediaTakeOut trying to call my ass fake. I see you, bitch."

YMCMB songstress and D. Woods' sister Shanell came to her defense on Twitter, saying D. Woods was the only true friend Aubrey had in the group.

Chris Brown May Begin DC Assault Trial Sooner Than Expected

Chris Brown may have just been released from jail earlier this week, but the ‘Loyal’ singer might have to head back to the courtroom sooner than expected.

According to TMZ, the U.S. District Attorney for the District of Columbia filed documents pushing the judge to schedule his trial for June 25. Brown’s original trial date was supposed to be in April, however, it was postponed to June.

While Brown says he didn’t specifically admit that he was guilty of assaulting Parker Adams in October 2013, the prosecutor contends that Brown’s admission that he violated the terms of his parole constituted a confession in the assault case. Because of this, there is a strong push to take him to court in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, Brown’s bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, was found guilty of the assault back in April and faces up to six months of jail time and a $1,000 fine.

If the judge agrees with the prosecutor, Brown will be back in the courtroom by the end of June.
