Dancehall Artist Vybz Kartel Found Guilty Of Murder in Jamaica (@Vybz_Kartel)

Dancehall superstar Vybz Kartel and three co-defendants were convicted of murder Thursday in a high-profile trial in Kingston, Jamaica's Supreme Court.

In anticipation of a riot, Jamaican police in riot gear guarded the barricaded streets outside. Shortly before the jury started to deliberate in the afternoon, about 200 people briefly broke through barricades at one intersection shouting "Free Kartel!"

Ultimately, 10 members of an 11 person jury found Kartel and three others guilty of the October 2011 killing of Clive "Lizard" Williams. One defendant was cleared of charges. Also, a male juror was arrested on charges of attempting to bribe the jury foreman in an attempt to influence the group to free Kartel.

According to CTV News, Prosecutors alleged Williams was beaten to death at Kartel's home in August 2011 after being lured there to answer for two missing illegal guns. His body has never been found. Police testified they retrieved a text message from Kartel's phone saying Williams was chopped up in a "mincemeat" so fine that his remains would never be found.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, has already been in jail for 3 years. Sentencing to follow.

Man Wants to Name Small Island Near Boston Busta Rhymes Island (@bustarhymes)

One man is on a quest to get one of his favorite places to go and relax rechristened Busta Rhymes Island.

Kevin O'Brien is a guy in his early thirties who works in tech support and DJ's at weddings. Him and his wife moved to the small town of Shrewsbury, MA., about 10 years ago. Near O'Brien's home is a lake with a tiny 40-by-40 island in the middle, and it's become a favorite destination for him and his wife to hang out and drink beer.

O'Brien, who accesses the island by kayak, installed a rope swing and planted blueberry bushes. He also cleans up after the teens who, like him, use the island as a place to unwind and drink some brews. When you love a place this much, you don't want it to go nameless.

He and a friend decided to name it Busta Rhymes Island.

So O'Brien went on Google Maps and geotagged the speck of land with its new name. However, for the name to be official he would have to get it approved by the U.S. Board of Geographic Names.

This is where he ran into problems, because it turns out you can't name a geographic feature after a celebrity until that celebrity has been dead for five years.

For now, O'Brien will have to settle for a geotag.

Man Carjacks Multiple Vehicles During Epic Police Chase

A carjacker with a lengthy rap sheet led Denver police on a nearly hour-long during which he commandeered three different vehicles, including one with a four-year-old child strapped in the back seat.

The chase began when Ryan Cole, 28, who has a lengthy criminal record for theft, flight, child abuse and drug offenses, allegedly stole a red 2008 Ford Edge SUV from a gas station, the Denver Post said. A 4-year-old boy was inside the vehicle still in his pajamas.

Cole headed east on I-76, catching a gold van and forcing it to stop. He then yanked the driver from the front seat and continued on his rampage.

He then headed toward the Denver International Airport where he struck two cars. Cole carjacked a third vehicle, pulling a woman from the driver's seat.

He then crashed again and took off on foot. Police eventually cornered him as he tried to scale the fence surrounding a strip mall.
