Watch Senior Citizens Get Down to Mark Ronson's 'Uptown Funk' [VIDEO]

If Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars’ song “Uptown Funk” doesn’t make you want to shake your butt, then you need to check your pulse. The single is the No. 1 song in America and everybody is dancing to it including senior citizens. In a fun-filled viral video, senior citizens get down to Ronson’s hit song.

The clip stars Alex Boye, a Nigerian singer who remixes popular songs to “Africanize” them. His previous takes on tracks include Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off,” Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” and Lorde’s “Royals,” among others.

For “Uptown Funk,” the charismatic crooner donned makeup to look like an old-timer and enlisted several elderly gentlemen to get down with him on the streets of Utah. The video also features local stars the “Golden Girls” (aka the Dancing Grandmas) who proudly shake their moneymakers.

“All the grandmas and grandpas in this video did their own stunts,” jokes Boye. “They range in age from 65-92! Between them, they have raised 500 children, 1,200 grandchildren and 250 great grandchildren.”

Since the video’s YouTube premiere on Wednesday (Feb. 25), the clip has become a viral hit with over 1.1 million views so far.

The video is a wonderful reminder that no matter your age, you’re never too old for the funk.
