Erykah Badu Invades Local Newscast While Stranded at Dallas Airport [VIDEO]
The winter season has caused havoc in some major cities this month, with the Northeast and Southern regions hit hard by snow and ice. In Dallas, Texas, hundreds of flights had to be canceled on Monday (Feb. 23) due to icy conditions, which left travelers stranded at Dallas-Fort Worth airport, including Erykah Badu.
The inclement weather caused many flights at the airport to be canceled, including the “On and On” singer’s flight to Los Angeles. CBS 11 reporter Steve Pickett spotted Badu in the terminal and invited her to chat with him about her travel situation.
Unlike Badu’s infamous viral video where she tried to kiss a PIX 11 news reporter live on the air, the singer was upbeat and entertaining as she told Pickett, “It’s hard out here for a pimp.” And we must say that her tall brim hat is to die for.
Pickett seemed happy to have the Grammy Award-winning singer keep him company at the airport. Badu even quietly said “Hi Mom!” to the camera.
Badu’s fans were also geeked to see her appearance on live local television.
