Extra! Extra! Read all about it! 50 Cent is taking over the newspaper industry. Well, not quite. The hip-hop toughie has been tapped to be a guest editor for New York Daily News’ Confidenti@l section next week.

“Tables are turning on Tuesday [Jan. 13] at the New York Daily News, I’ll be choosing the content!” he told Billboard. “Everyone better get ready.”

Fif will edit the section for the day, choose photos, write a couple of blurbs and even attend an editorial meeting.

“He’s coming to work, and he’s going to be the man in charge,” said Raakhee Mirchandani, the managing editor at the newspaper. “Maybe some of 50′s famous friends will be along for the ride too: “We’re hoping for a little Chelsea Handler Skype or email action.”

Readers can also get involved by submitting questions to 50 for a live online chat from the newsroom on Tuesday (Jan. 13) at 1:30PM EST. You can tweet your questions by using the hashtag #NYDNChat.

This isn’t 50 Cent’s first time in the editor’s chair. Back in 2003, he curated the 50th issue of XXL magazine. In the publication, the G-Unit leader interviewed Talib Kweli.

We can’t wait to see what 50 Cent has in store for the New York Daily News on Tuesday. Have fun, Fif!
