Exclusive! Talib Kweli: Jamar's Points are Lost in Street Talk (@talibkweli @lordjamar)

Talib Kweli sat down with VLADTV to share his view on Macklemore's level headed response to Lord Jamar's "white rappers are guests in Hip-Hop" statements, as well as Jamar speaking in street terms, which makes it easier for fans to pick apart his arguments.

He agrees with Macklemore's respectful response to Jamar. He recognizes Lord Jamar's contributions to Hip-Hop culture, and whether you agree with his views or not, feels he deserves a certain level of respect.

He also agrees with Jamar that there is a certain level of white privilege in Hip-Hop, and the emasculation of the black male image is a real problem, but doesn't believe white rappers are to be considered "guests" within the culture.
