Exclusive! Vivid's Steve Hirsch Talks Kim K Sex Tape Phenomenon (@kimkardashian @stevenhirsch)

Vivid Entertainment's CEO Steven Hirsch opens up about the success that the company has had with celebrity sex tapes, which he said started with the Pamela Anderson/ Tommy Lee tape, but was "broke wide open" with Kim Kardashian and Ray J. Hirsch was asked about the legality of putting out a tape without the consent of the parties in the video, which led to a conversation of obtaining Kim Kardashian's sex tape.

Steven admits that he was approached by a third party with the video, and explains that he then came to Kim about putting the tape out. After offering her a several million dollar deal, Kim agreed to release the tape, because as Steven explains, there was the chance of it leaking on the internet, where she would get no money.

When asked about Kim's level of success after the movie was released, Steven attributes it to the team she had around her and the "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" reality show for fueling her fame.

It seems like Chris Brown is finally ready to release his oft-delayed album ‘X.’ On Saturday (Feb. 22), the R&B crooner made the announcement on his Twitter account that his next project is coming soon.

He tweeted:

Brown’s six studio effort has been plagued by numerous postponements. Of course, most of the delays stem from his troubles outside of the recording studio.

Since then, Brown has remained in rehab to better himself.

According to E! News, the Boombox Fan Choice Award-winner has finished his court-ordered 90-day stint in rehab but plans to stay a little longer for further treatment.

In addition, Brown was honored Friday (Feb. 21) by 2nd Call, a Los Angeles community group, for his collaborative work with the organization and his own Symphonic Love Foundation and Unity Campaign.

The 24-year-old artist went on Instagram and posted a photo of the beautiful plaque. “2nd Call honors tonight.. Really inspiring!” he wrote. “Thank you 2nd Call for this amazing award tonight!”

As for the album, we can only hope that Brown will eventually release it. The collection spawned the singles ‘Fine China,’ the Nicki Minaj-assisted ‘Love More’ and ‘Don’t Think They Know’ featuring the posthumous vocals of Aaliyah.

Love and Hip star and producer Stevie J is in hot water with the court and his ex.

According to AllHipHop, the reality star was hit with a subpoena at his new restaurant "Sleazy & Zino" by Project Child Support. The group helps single parents with assuring that the child payments are up to date.

His ex wife Carol Burnett sued Stevie J for over a million dollars in unpaid child support, allegedly claiming that he missed over 100 payments in the past few years. The producer is now required to show the courts his tax statements and pay stubs.

Reports have shown in the past that the producer would allegedly go to extreme measures to avoid paying child support. Some of the measures include changing his name and business.

No word on when Stevie would face a judge for the allegations.

Love Pharrell Williams‘ famous Buffalo hat he wore at the 2014 Grammy Awards? The artist/producer is auctioning off his headline-grabbing Vivienne Westwood-designed hat on eBay for charity.

The Guardian shares that Skateboard P has partnered with eBay to sell the accessory he donned at the Grammys (and has continued to rock in other models) and proceeds will go to his educational non-profit organization, From One Hand to Another. The 100-gallon hat went on sale Feb. 20 and there are several bids already, as high as $12,000.

The auction is open until March 2 and also comes with a letter of authenticity…in case you need one. Bidders must also pre-qualify “to ensure a safe and fair auction.”

“I’m giving up the Buffalo hat I wore to the Grammys to help underserved kids get the educational tools they need,” Williams said in a statement per the Guardian. “Our organization, From One Hand to Another, is committed to bringing kids experiences that ignite their passions, challenge their minds and prepare them for success.”

Props to Pharrell Williams (and his hat!) for his worthwhile charity auction. Good luck to the winner!
