An avid Johnny Depp fan has brought him into a bizarre criminal case.
According to TMZ, the actor was served papers in the middle of his movie premiere of 'Transcendence' to appear in court on behalf of a woman named Nancy Lekon.
Lekon was charged with murder in 2009 after driving a a limo in L.A when killed a woman after hitting her and dragging her body for a mile. Lekon informed officers that she was in a relationship with the famous actor and was heading to see him during the time of her arrest. A lawyer is trying to prove the woman is insane to avoid jail time.
Lekon will stand trial later this month.
