We haven’t heard much from Macklemore — musically — in 2014, but it looks like 2015 will be a big year for the ‘Thrift Shop’ rapper. The Seattle native and his fiancee, Tricia Davis, are expecting their first child together.

On Saturday (Jan. 3), the Grammy-winning rhymer posted an emotional video of Davis receiving an ultrasound at a hospital with family members in attendance.

Filmed by Jason Koenig, the clip, titled ‘A Surprise from Ben and Tricia,’ features the expectant parents seeing and hearing their baby for the first time. The visual will no doubt leave you teary-eyed.

“We are soooo excited!” reads the caption accompanying the video.

No word on the gender of the baby, which is due in May.

Macklemore, whose real name is Benjamin Haggerty, has been with his fiancee for nearly a decade. The ‘Same Love’ rapper proposed to Davis in January 2013.

“After 7 years…I asked,” he tweeted at the time. “And she said yes. The love of my life.”

Macklemore is not the only rapper expecting a child this year. Fabolous and his longtime girlfriend, Emily B, are also having a baby in 2015 as well.

Nike Basketball goes global with this next release that helps celebrate the LBN French League All-Star Game, which takes place in Paris on Saturday (Jan. 3). The drop is pretty extensive and includes four different pair of sneakers in two distinct new colorways.

Dubbed the “Volt” and “Red Volt” Pack, the set includes the Nike LeBron 12, Nike Kobe 9 Elite Low, Jordan CP3.VIII and the Jordan Super.Fly 3 models. Each pair come in some pretty eye-catching new colors.

Volt is at the center of the color combinations and while one set is marked by white accents, another uses Volt as the secondary color, giving the red colorplay the primary role.

These glorious sneakers were made exclusively for the LBN French players, so there’s no chance of people copping them outside of Europe. However, you can try to fiddle around on NIKEiD and make one of our own.

Lets hope that Nike releases some of them at a retailer sooner than later.

Soundcloud If you think that Ludacris doesn’t have bars — think again. The Atlanta rhyme-spitter is a lyrical monster on his new mixtape, ‘LudaVerses.’

On the 20-minute collection, Luda displays his skills in wordplay over a variety of today’s hottest beats, including ILOVEMAKONNEN’s ‘Tuesdays,’ Bobby Shmurda’s ‘Hot N—-,’ Pusha T’s ‘Numbers on the Board,’ Jay Z’s ‘Tom Ford,’ Nicki Minaj’s ‘Only’ and more.

Ludacris, who’s engaged to his longtime girlfriend Eudoxie, spits numerous metaphoric bars and punchlines that will make your head spin.

For example, in one line, Luda raps, “Back at it like a better me / I’m just trying to earn my stripes like a referee / Calling a foul on the play, you a h- n—- / Selling records? You can’t even sell an O n—-.”

Elsewhere, the ‘Southern Hospitality’ rapper spits about his fame through music and entertainment.

In 2014, Ludacris released his ‘Burning Bridges’ EP, a six-track collection featuring guest appearances from Miguel and Rick Ross. The EP is available on Google Play but will get a wider release on Jan. 6.

Meanwhile, Luda plans to drop his long-awaited album, ‘Ludaversal,’ on March 31.

Ty Dolla $ign Talks Singing on 'Only One,' New Music With Rihanna

Ty Dolla $ign recently revealed that he sang background vocals on Kanye West’s tender lullaby song, ‘Only One.’ In an interview with Billboard, the singer-songwriter details how he and West collaborated in the studio.

“One day my homie Ricky Anderson [Kanye's cousin] hit me up and was like, ‘Kanye wants you to come work with him in Mexico,’ so I came out there [and] we did like nine songs in one day; one of them happened to be ‘Only One,’ he tells Billboard.

The ‘Paranoid’ singer was also surprised by West releasing the song on New Year’s Day. He’s even amazed by the people’s reactions to the ballad.

“They called me before and told me. Atlantic [Records] called and asked me to clear it and everything,” he recalls. “I didn’t know what song ‘Only One’ was at first, then the other homie called me and played me the song [to refresh my memory]. It came out, everybody’s going crazy. They playing it on the radio, every city, every state, every country, so s—, I’m happy!”

In addition, Ty and West also recorded a collaborative song with Rihanna and Paul McCartney.

“Me, Rihanna, ‘Ye and Paul got a song about to drop as well,” he said. “I heard they shot the video recently. I don’t know what the final title is, but I know it’s crazy so just be looking out for [it].”

So what did Ty Dolla $ign learn from Yeezy during their time in the studio?

“Just take my time and really examine what’s dope and what’s not,” he said. “He reminds me of myself a lot. [He has] all the homies around, everybody being like ‘yes’ or ‘no’ [about a song]. Also, be real critical about what you do, [and] not just let anything go out there.”
