Exclusive! Dame Dash Talks Business End of Hip Hop (Throwback) (@dashdamon @s_c_)

In this throwback clip from Rugged Entertainment's Peter Spirer, Roc-A-Fella Records co-founder Damon Dash weighs in on producer Eric Sermon saying African Americans have to start controlling more of the business end of hip hop -- something Dash agrees with wholeheartedly.

"Most definitely. If it's your music and you're making it, you have to learn how to control it..." Dash explains.

"You have to learn how to promote your music...and uh, the next thing you have to do is Black people have to learn how to distribute...also own your master," he says before Jay Z adds, "Which we do."
