Tiara Thomas and her throwback cornrows continues to smooth it out with another cinematic reflective video this time for the acoustic track “How It Is.”
Produced Qreamybeats and directed by Shane Adams “How It Is,” creates the illusion of Tiara’s colorful yet deep dark solo solar oasis. On the latest single from her Up In Smoke EP she sings about being a loner, outcast in search of someone to understand her. But it’s towards the end where she showcases her poetic rap flow.
She recently spoke to MTV about how the dreamy soft-spoken song came about.‘How It Is’ was a conversation with myself in my head,” said Thomas. “Talking about things that people go through in everyday life. Just dealing with people. Dealing with how things are.”
In addition to flexing her vocal chops on the road to the release of her EP, Thomas is also flexing her her cooking skills in the All Def Digital web series Baking With Tiara. Blunt in hand-the songstress gets medicated while attempting to make homemade pizza, ramen and other tasty dishes.
