Common and John Legend Perform 'Glory' at 2015 Grammy Awards [VIDEO]

Music’s biggest night closed with one of hip-hop’s most relevant and moving songs. Common and John Legend brought social issues to the forefront with their track, ‘Glory,’ featured in the lauded film ‘Selma.’

The duo performed the poignant number after Beyonce’s rendition of ‘Precious Lord, Take My Hand’ (also from the film ‘Selma’). Dapper in their suits, Common took the mic while John handled the keys.

‘Glory’ has enjoyed much critical success as of late. Earlier this year, the track took home the award for Best Original Song at the 2015 Golden Globes. Common, who also stars in the movie ‘Selma,’ said this during his acceptance speech: “As I got to know the people of the Civil Rights Movement I realized I am the hopeful black woman who was denied her right to vote,” Common said. “I am the caring white supporter killed on the front lines of freedom. I am the unarmed black kid who maybe needed a hand, but instead was given a bullet. I am the two fallen police officers murdered in the line of duty. ‘Selma’ has awakened my humanity.”
