T-Pain vs. Nicki Minaj – The Boombox Battle

T-Pain Nicki MinajThe Boombox

T-Pain has done it again. He’s proven that he’s one tough contender after beating OG Maco in The Boombox Battle this week. Not only is this his third straight win, but he is just one more victory away from being the next artist to enter The Boombox Battle Hall of Fame.

‘Stoicville’ finds the rapper stripped of his signature Auto-Tune vocals to showcase honest rhymes about his life — both past and present. The song will be featured on his upcoming album, ‘Stoicville: The Phoenix,’ which will likely be out in 2015.

“Whoever thought a youngin’ from a city full of rattle snakes was ever gon’ make it out the grass patch / Seven heels had me looking for a better deal, a hood n—-, I couldn’t count on the Nasdaq / Coming home from school I had tears in my eyes / They was picking on me and wouldn’t give me my hat back / Now I got enough hats to give away, it’s better days, I refuse to have flashbacks,” he raps.

Nicki Minaj‘s song ‘Only’ competes against T-Pain in the newest battle. Bringing Drake, Lil Wayne and Chris Brown together on the track, she shuts down any rumors of her sleeping with her labelmates and boss and gives a shoutout to her girls. Each of the guys who lend their talents to ‘Only’ deliver their own unique verses.

“Yo, I never f—ed Wayne, I never f—ed Drake / On my life, man, f—’s sake / If I did I menage with ‘em and let ‘em eat my ass like a cupcake / My man full, he just ate, I don’t duck nobody but tape / Yeah, that was a set up for a punchline on duct tape / Worried ’bout if my butt’s fake / Worry ’bout yall n—-s, us straight,” she spits on her verse.

Will T-Pain be able to secure a fourth win and get his ticket into The Boombox Hall of Fame? Or will Nicki Minaj throw him off his thrown? Now it’s up to you. Go vote for your favorite song in the poll below. Remember you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Tues., Dec. 9, at 10AM ET.
