Fabolous vs. Fetty Wap — The Boombox Battle

Fabolous Fetty WapThe Boombox

Fabolous has done it again. Despite Rae Sremmurd‘s strong effort, the duo’s 30 percent of the fan vote just couldn’t beat Fabolous’ almost 70 percent in The Boombox Battle — making this his third consecutive win.

The rapper’s new track, ‘Lituation,’ which is the first single off his forthcoming effort, ‘The Young OG Project,’ sounds like the quintessential New York City track. With its hard beat and aggressive lyrics, the Brooklyn native delivers menacing rhymes.

“This a movie, get your Goobers, n—-, it gets deep get your scuba, n—- / I got the swipers in the gun shop, I got the shooters in the Uber, n—- / Everything brand new my n—-, Lord Jamar Grand Puba, n—- / They calling me Fidel Cashflow, yeah, and the link come from Cuba, n—-,” he spits.

Fetty Wap will be trying his luck against Fabolous this week. Hailing from Paterson, N.J., Fetty’s ‘Trap Queen’ has been blowing up on the internet in many ways. With over 4 million listens on Soundcloud and more than 1.4 million views of the track’s video, the song has put Fetty on everyone’s radar and even landed him a deal with Lyor Cohen’s 300 Entertainment.

The mid-tempo tune showcases Fetty’s sing-song rapping approach and his songwriting skills, which feature him loving his girl, money and the bando.

“I’m like ‘Hey, what’s up, hello’ / Seen yo pretty ass soon as you came in that door / I just wanna chill, got a sack for us to roll / Married to the money, introduced her to my stove / Showed her how to whip it, now she remixin’ for low / She my trap queen, let her hit the bando / We be countin’ up, watch how far them bands go,” he delivers on the first verse.

Will Fabolous go for his fourth win and enter The Boombox Hall of Fame? Or will Fetty Wap’s lyrics and flow grab the fan vote? It’s time for you to decide. Go vote for your favorite song in the poll below. Remember, you can vote once per hour until the poll closes on Tues., Dec. 30, at 10AM ET.
