Mom Accused Of Killing Her Son Because She Believed He Was Gay

An Oregon mother of two is standing trial after allegedly beating her son to the death because she thought he was gay.

According to Newser, Jessica Dutro would punish her 4-year-old son Zachary by giving him and his 8-year-old sister "lickings." Dutro sent several Facebook messages before her son's death to her boyfriend claiming that her son was turning gay. "He walks and talks like it Ugh" said one messages. She also said that her and boyfriend would have to "work on" her son.

In August 2012 after her son refused to listen to her, Dutro along with her boyfriend hit him and punched him until his bowels allegedly ripped open. The child was sent to the hospital and died two days later.

Her boyfriend Brian Canaday has already pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter and second-degree assault.
