Rapper Kendrick Lamar and rock group Imagine Dragons brought a raw, high energy and pyrotechnic-filled performance to the Grammy stage tonight. The two acts blended genres effortlessly, while donning all-white for their mash-up of the Compton spitta’s ‘m.A.A.d City’ and Dragons’ ‘Radioactive.’

Imagine Dragons opened the number by singing a few lines to their Grammy-nominated record, then the music switched up and Kendrick Lamar energetically and speedily jumped in and delivered lines to his track from his Grammy nominated album ‘good kid, m.A.A.d. city.’

As Kendrick rapped, Imagine Dragons backed him with pulsating drums. At one point the rapper ran to the front of the stage and got the crowd hype and Dragons member Daniel Reynolds joined him up and rocked along.

The two then reunified with the rest of the band for the remainder of the performance. Kendrick, who had his eyes closed at one point while rhyming, even put the mic down and banged on the giant white drums with the band. Red paint splattered on the group’s white outfits for the finale.

Overall these two acts evoked high energy that brought Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Jay Z, and Robin Thicke and many others to their feet.
