In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, former Presidential scandal girl Monica Lewinsky had a slight correction for Queen Bey's "Partition" lyrics. In one of the more popular songs from her self-titled, surprise released, fifth studio album, Bey spit-sings over the throbbing beat:
"He popped all my buttons and he ripped my blouse, he Monica Lewinsky'd all on my gown!"
While we all went a little crazy over this new sexual side of Beyonce we weren't prepared for, Ms Lewinsky had a few words of her own. "Thanks, Beyoncé," said Lewinsky. "But if we're verbing, I think you meant 'Bill Clinton'd all on my gown,' not 'Monica Lewinsky'd.'"
Aside from fact checking pop songs, Monica's legacy has maintained a near constant level of relevancy due to songs like last year's "Rap God" from Eminem (one of a few references the rapper has made), as well as nods from Kid Cudi, Kanye, Raekwon and Migos. In the interview Monica also discusses how much that one moment has hurt her reputation, but that she's also starting to take a stand to move her life forward and reshape the public's perception.
