Folks who usually hit the neighborhood bar after work may now instead stop in the corner Starbucks to unwind after a long day, because the coffee shop chain will now be serving wine and beer.
Called "Starbucks Evenings," the booze will be available at locations in the Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta, Portland, and Seattle areas after 4 p.m. To accompany the drinks will be a new appetizer and dessert menu, with items like chicken skewers, mac and chees, and chocolate fondue. The wine and beer selection will be based on location.
"We've always been your neighborhood spot where you can take a moment to unwind, grab a well-deserved treat, and meet up with friends," the site reads. "But sometimes, you just want a glass of wine and a delicious bite to eat without going to a bar or making a restaurant reservation," according to the Starbucks website.
